About the intellect of whales and dolphins
Rumors have spread for a long time,
The even-toed ungulates in some generation
Understood: on land there is evil.

They returned to the water element,
Outwitted the worldwide flood,
They don’t much miss the land —
The orca and the sperm whale.

In the oceans people trouble them less,
Though there are plenty of dangers there too,
The leviathans have survived and exist,
Australopithecus did not destroy them to the end.
