764-8
Smoke a cigarette and it will let go,
Drink alcohol and forget.
Mute your conscience, let it not torment,
Resistance is extra, let them take.
As if thought were no longer the soul’s watchman,
And no longer calls again to the struggle.
Yet it warns and sounds the alarm:
“Focus, decide, do!”
The cause was in the circumstances,
The consequence is also in your hands,
A human is called to think,
So as not to get tangled in sins.
