689-7
Did the martyr Job call disaster?
Not at all, yet it came.
It did not reach the soul, the foundations of faith,
Though it mutilated the city, damaged the fortress.
Temptation to Job
Broke hope.
But it met refusal —
It lost the battle.
While we fight, they will not defeat us,
When even razed to the ground,
They drive us into the stall of slaves —
They will drive us in if we renounce the Most High.
