(Trilogy. 678th — 680th)

The situation is familiar —
A guest — not at home,
And an orphan taken into the family
Is constantly grateful and dependent…

Without shelter and even a corner
An immigrant has no full rights,
His behavior is cautious.
Fellow citizens are sated
And their children
Are sure of the good and insolent.
Trouble is not a strict teacher to them,
Their sorrows come from abundance.

Trying to become one of the family,
Useful and handy,
The newcomer carries a timid alienation
As a healing humanity —
To the arrogant, but spiritually poor.
