Speak, my heart, though the mind rebels.
If I will not do it, then at least I will know.
Twice wretched the blind man who also cannot hear —
If I will not apply it, then at least I will have it.

Where is my holiness, of which I proclaim?
Not visible in deeds, not even worth seeking?
I stack the hints in prayers into a foundation,
So as NOT to build on sand.

The foundation must stand,
Tested by earthquake.
I will sit the exam on faith,
And finish the walls and roof with Jesus.
