Surrounded by evil,
By its rituals,
I plan to hatch out for holiness,
Having said farewell to the priest
And his cardinals
With a greed for power
In their zeal.

Before freedom the last duty:
“From the sinful choose the most worthy.”
I obtain the answer through a narrow gap —
The Lord offers the most weightless.

Mankind will continue to bear penance,
With hope for a grain of sand,
Not for medicine, but for poison,
Not for a man and not at all for a woman.
