587-7
The crane builds, the bulldozer destroys,
The flower smells, yet the stem pricks.
The fridge freezes, the boiler heats —
What here is good and wherein is evil?
Each is useful — the wise recognize,
The outraged fool will throw half away,
Renounce, disgrace, and condemn.
And so he will live in shortages.
I learn to accept fullness as a blessing,
As the Creator’s care inherited.
So it becomes a daily banner:
To everything its time and order.
