577-8
Whether the bee gathers or gives —
It is for the beekeeper’s glory.
Whether they kill the cowboy or he kills —
The fatherland will write it in the archives.
Whether I rejoice or weep — I live.
Whether I live or die — to God.
I came from nothing, I go toward everything,
To the Throne I see only the road.
The Creator’s project,
It was not I who planned
About me, mine, and around.
We were not, now we are,
Because He said,
His Word commanded!
