562-9
Indifference to another’s grief
Weaves a nest in the bushes by the house,
Offended fate will lay eggs in it,
Serpentine, so that evil is remembered,
To fear the bites, to sleep with nightmares,
Having lost the fellow villagers’ trust.
Left alone with the punishments,
Having fallen into trouble oneself.
Are peace of heart and healthy relations
Not worth the chief goal?
Is it not time to come to the thought:
And maybe, after all, to help?
