507-9
You came in wreaths, in royal robes —
To me, to a commoner
(Big deal, in the States),
You poured fragrant myrrh into the vessels.
Who am I for Your caresses?
… The noble are not always pleasant to You —
So I love You without jealousy,
And to please You — a zealous desire.
Gentle princess,
Do not let me be shamed.
Teach me to the level
Of filling with honor.
