Habit binds one to a task,
Constant and strong, it gives a result,
It points to the owner’s character,
Becomes the cause of tragedies and feast days.

A good one brings glory,
A bad one — mockery and shame,
With the first, life is interesting,
The second leads into trouble.

Do they choose it, or does it find them?
Who is to blame, who deserves praise?
Fate decides, the laws of nature.
Person or habit — that is their scale.
