456-8
The grateful one’s dreams are already being fulfilled,
He opened the gates to them hospitably.
You greedy ones chase after happiness —
And it runs away, though it seemed you had caught it.
It entrusted itself — which is not the same as being seized.
A kind fate has a sensitive soul.
It always wanted to side with the good —
Without a whip, without the lure of a coin.
A cage, even a spacious one,
Will someday empty,
For the prey will escape.
Filled to the brim is the granary
Of the grateful. And it will fill still more.
