Let’s forget about her.
How much longer? Three years of war!
Let us return to the peace we so yearn for,
For it is heading toward spring,
And not toward winter.
Why sink into depression
And breathe boredom onto others?
Let us sing
And dance,
Not notice the grief,
Pay no heed to pain and misfortune.
I sing, I dance,
I roam the bars,
I make merry, I joke,
For I am an optimist.
Yet from the weary I meet only condemnation.
For indifference — hatred, malice and spite.
