Emotions someday burn out —
Sharp needs gradually fade,
Leaps after happiness aren’t so high,
They grow used to sufferings,
They aren’t so deep anymore.

Old age, indifference, a time of philosophies,
Generalizations and sorting,
The feeling of oneself nailed on Golgotha
And simply curiosity, waiting for eternity.

They laughed at it, ignored it,
Fanatically believed in it,
Never truly imagined it,
Finally dared to find out.
They stepped into death’s beyond-the-rapids
But did not describe
For the living who hoped
And did not hope —
They did not break the barrier of mystery,
Did not overcome it.
They scattered.
