Having cut myself off from God and neighbor,
I receive no few enemies.
Around they consider me superfluous,
And I of harmony with them
Will sort it out in myself —
Harmony or domination,
When to requests that are evil,
Egoistic and stingy,
I wait only for indulgence?

Harmony is not in thrusting out,
But in weighed measures.
In the smoothing of protrusions
And in patched holes.
