I am not — in countries, cities, and villages,
Among those who are beaten, who beat,
In companies of the sad and the merry
Except those where I am.

I am in thoughts of myself, of kin,
Of food, of water and air,
Of the micron and the Universe, of God and despair,
Of the living and the dead, of the rich and the poor.

In thoughts I am — in countries, cities, and villages,
Among those who are beaten, who beat,
In companies of the sad and the merry
My agitation.
Everything is filled with me
And drawn toward me.
Who will say I am not?
The Universe is I. I AM!
