252-7
Our grandmother is a good landowner,
Whatever she owns, she gives it all away
And is greatly pleased by that,
She squanders the property, mine in particular.
The relatives take offense at her,
For she sends us into the world poor.
But she does not repent,
And does not intend to repent,
She says she is trying
To raise us as worthy people,
To rely not on inheritance,
But on our own strength,
So we do not grow lazy
And do not beg from others.
