249-9
With the door under lock the household is at peace,
An unguarded house invites burglars.
Carelessness begets wars
And beggar-pilgrims.
A reliable shield of the state,
Strong gates and a bolt
Quench the predator’s appetite,
Which especially flares at times.
Having set armor,
And armor beneath it,
They will stand against fire,
Protect the country, and with it the kin.
