157-8
In every people
There are humans, and there are brutes.
In any circumstance
The ones and the others are near.
A scoundrel will not sadden me,
To a benefactor I’ll offer my hand,
I’ll hold back the cup of poison
And among the wicked, to be heard
I’ll allow pleasant words.
Then they’ll count me too
A human, not a dog,
They’ll value and advertise
As an ambassador of peace,
Ukraine’s wonderful
Representative.
