I rejoice in a thought other
Than my own.
But sincere and honest.
Without falsehood and cunning,
Clear and compact,
Without complex constructions,
Without pride and conceit,
Impositions and swagger,
So that in a wondrous form,
Earthly and heavenly,
The truth might grow —
Might be able to strengthen.

So both would come to agree,
Drink their fill of talking,
And to both would open
The essence of the word.

For that one must
Only come to love
The neighbor and the truth.
I will climb upward
To reach the heaven,
So as to let sin go.
To live more fully…
…To teach the soul…
So let us go on speaking.
