And I about God
Would like to speak.
As if I had known Him,
But to declare
That I have reached the level of ALL —
I still would not claim.

The womb has not yet opened
For the soul’s labor.
A heel is pushing through,
The verses help.

And there is not growth enough
To PRESS against the walls,
To come out into space
From Earth-the-woman.
To say at last:
The Mother has allowed
The Father to be known.
